On July 22, 8-10PM, Karley hosted WORKS IN PROCESS at Arts On Site.

WORKS IN PROCESS wasn't just a
showing—it was an invitation into the creative process.

Instead of presenting finished dances, I invited audiences into the messy middle of developing two new works: LaserCats and VAMP.

Together we asked hard questions, shared ideas, filled pages with thoughtful feedback, and reminded one another that art doesn't grow in isolation—it grows in conversation.

That conversation is now shaping the next iterations of both works.

In 2026, Growing Takes Time transformed Noo Arts Wildflowers Rooftop into its largest immersive production to date. Fully supported by a NYSCA grant, the one-hour experience invited audiences to discover that whimsy isn't something we find—it's something we practice together.

On March 12th 2026–funded by @nyscouncilonthearts—Karley hosted an artist talk that brought artists across disciplines together in shared discourse and community.

What happens when you process your entire life through choreography? Your art ends up dragging you through the dirt… lol

So many of my works are compositional improv scores because it’s real problem solving in real time— like how I use choreography to process what I’m moving through personally.

For me, structure isn’t just about making dances…It’s about creating cultural containers where people can actually process what they’re moving through to nourish the whole person… and that is rare… people are craving the experiences I cultivate.
